Vada O Crosby
Congratulations on your pending wedding! With so many things to do and consider, perhaps you will allow me to ease your selection process by crafting a customized ceremony that will celebrate and affirm your union.
My goal, as an officiant, is to make your special day an event that will long be remembered and cherished.
I am a veteran justice of the peace who is experienced in all types of ceremonies for any couple of any faith, background, gender, or race. Also in light of the recent pandemic, I am available for safe-distancing outdoor ceremonies and have received COVID-19 safety training.
I am also familiar with various outdoor venues that offer the perfect setting for a ceremony, such as Harkness Memorial State Park, Wickham Park, Elizabeth Park, Windsor Meadows State Park, and numerous other indoor facilities throughout the state, including The Riverview, Aqua Turf, Saint Clements Castle, Farmington Gardens, Anthony’s Oceanview, The Society Room of Hartford, Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill, Wright’s Mill Farm, A Villa Louisa, The Glastonbury Boat House, Amarante’s Sea Cliff, The Barnes at Wesleyan Hill and The Mansion at Harkness Memorial State Park.
Officiating weddings is an extension of who I am. A former journalist, university professor, event speaker and a man with a passion for travel and exploration, I enjoy meeting people and learning about their joys of life. I have an upbeat, bright and positive persona and my goal is to make your wedding a joyous, fun and memorable experience.
Let’s talk and discover a way to make your wedding day extraordinary. So don’t wait; please email me now. If you contact me by telephone, please leave a detailed voice message or text me (please include your name and wedding date) and I will return your call.

JoAnn and I are so blessed. Our son Joey just took us out to dinner and paid the tab. He then drove us to Elizabeth Park in West Hartford, and we met up with our great friend Vada Crosby. He is a Justice of the Peace and he held a ceremony so JoAnn and I could renew our vows. It was spectacular, we both enjoyed it immensely with our son taking pictures. This was truly a special day for us and we will remember it forever.
We wanted to thank you for performing the ceremony at our wedding. You brought a lot of humor and warmth, and were a perfect match for our personalities. We can’t imagine anybody else having married us! Thanks again.
