Justice of the Peace: Robert (Bobby) F DiBella

Robert (Bobby) F DiBella

Justice of the Peace, Notary

I will perform your wedding your way, as you would like. Last minute ceremonies are my specialty. While I am based in Hartford county, I will travel anywhere in state.

During ceremonies I usually wear a stole, and I’ve found that it places a special demeanor on the ceremony. I am quick-witted, and think on my feet. This comes in handy should the unexpected occur!. I’ve been performing weddings for 30 years, and this experience helps me make sure everyone feels right at home.

I am happy to perform weddings at the venue of your choice. Beaches, parks, private homes or country clubs – I am flexible and able to accommodate your vision of your day. While I do nuptials of all sizes, I prefer the small to medium sized weddings. For the very intimate ceremony (the couple plus up to two guests) I have a special place (available in warmer weather) that is an option – ask me about this! I can also recommend a beautiful fountain or other lesser-known spots.

I have designed vows that we can use, and we can add your special vows to each other or readings, as you wish. If you’d prefer to write your own I am available to assist if you would like.

While secular ceremonies may tap into my experience with unity candles and sand ceremonies (among others), incorporating religious overtones is always an option too. For example, having the Jewish groom stomp on the glass and say L’Chaim, are welcome.

I am a retired engineer, and have a public safety background. I’m an adjunct member of the Marine Corps League. Special consideration is given to military or public safety involved couples.

Notary services also available.

From our first conversation to plan our ceremony you made us feel so welcome in town. We enjoyed how cozy the ceremony felt that we were so excited for you to join us in celebrating out marriage with a meal. As a bonus we got a ‘mini-tour’ of Glastonbury. Even after that day you have gone above and beyond to help us integrate into the community. We really appreciate everything you’ve done and are happy to call you our friend!
