Caitlin Buckley
Hi! I’m Caitlin (she/her). Forty-five years ago, my parents were married by a Justice of the Peace in Amherst, Massachusetts, and in 2012 I was married by a friend with a one-day designation in the same town. I have a lifelong respect for the tradition of non-denominational wedding ceremonies, and as a newly appointed Justice of the Peace, I would be grateful for the opportunity to solemnize your marriage.
I live in Wellesley and will be happy to officiate your wedding anywhere in the Commonwealth if I’m available. You’ll find me diligent, professional, friendly, and well spoken. In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, writing, mushroom hunting, volunteering with the Girl Scouts, and spending time with my family.
Also, a quick note to say that, in Massachusetts, Justices of the Peace are required not to discriminate based on any protected status. It’s not just the law, however—I am so proud to live in Massachusetts, the first state to legalize same-sex marriage. Please know that, if you identify as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I will be honored to be part of your special day and will support and affirm you as a couple however I can.
