Choosing that person to officiate at your wedding is as important as the invitations you select, the food you serve or the music you choose.
Being a wedding officiant has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’d be honored to perform your service, large or small and would love the challenge of making your wedding day a memorable one.
Sharing the details of your romance and the hopes and dreams you would like to realize is indeed very personal business. Just like the chemistry in meeting your life partner, finding the right person to officiate should be worthy of special consideration.
For me, the right combination of seriousness, humor and understanding helps make this collaboration comfortable, and the ceremony enjoyable and memorable.
If it feels right, everything flows from there.
ABOUT
I’ve been a Justice of the Peace for a decade and have also spent over twenty five years as an advertising and marketing consultant, writer/editor and event curator. I bring a wealth of understanding and insight into relationships and weddings. My credentials include over two decades of marriage, twenty four years of motherhood and 5 years as an EMT taking care of people!
I love being a mom and an EMT, and love cooking, traveling, golfing, hiking, theatre and more………….
Please be in touch so we can explore the possibilities.
FEES
The cost for my services is dependent on the specific services requested e.g. a pre-ceremony interview, rehearsal attendance, assistance in writing your vows, additional meetings, selecting your venue or to simply officiate at your ceremony.
After an initial meeting, I start writing your ceremony and help you choose the words for your vows. Whether a large or intimate wedding, I can assist you in navigating the entire process.
For more details about how I work, tips for planning your wedding, and frequently asked questions, please contact me and visit my website.
MY CEREMONIES
My ceremonies are custom and personal. If you are feeling creative, it can be gratifying to write your own vows. I like to combine sincerity, integrity and humor in my ceremonies.
There are many ways to add a special touch to your ceremony including sand, unity candle or wine box ceremonies.
Sand or unity candle ceremony represent the blending of two different beings into a single, inseparable unit.
A wine box ceremony creates a timeless keepsake where you lock away love letters to each other sharing hopes and dreams for the future to be opened on your 10th or 25th anniversary.

Now that Ro and I are settling back into our routine, I wanted to write to let you know how special you made our wedding day. We are deeply grateful for your moving words, your care and attention, and for your gracious gesture of allowing us to marry in your home. We plan to encourage any of our friends who are contemplating marriage to consider tying the knot in Connecticut, and especially to consider contacting you to officiate the occasion. It was our pleasure and honor to meet you. You will always hold a precious place in our hearts! With profound gratitude and fondest regards,
Thank you again, Adria, for such a beautiful and moving ceremony you gave Peter and I; everyone can’t stop talking about it. You are really quite gifted!
Ken and I want to thank you so much for our most marvelous wedding ceremony. Truly it could not have been more personal, intelligent, and humorous. You made everyone attending feel included and gave Ken and me a memory we will always cherish.
Again, many thanks and warmest regards,
Valerie
\”When I found Adria, I knew she would make our ceremony special and unique – and that is exactly what we wanted. We\’ve been to many weddings where the ceremony was boring and generic. Not ours! She blew us away. Adria made all of us smile, laugh and cry. The ceremony wasn\’t too long or too short, but it was a story of us, as a couple, and what makes marriage so special. It was our ceremony that made our wedding truly different from others we have attended. We still have our friends mention how they have never been to a wedding where the Justice of the Peace engaged the audience and made the ceremony so intimate and about the couple. My husband and I will be forever grateful for finding Adria and having her make our day truly one to remember.”

“Adria was the Justice of the Peace at our wedding on May 14, 2011. Her service was better than we could ever have expected. It was such a personal and accurate reflection of us that our guests thought she must be an old family friend. The process that Adria uses makes it so easy for us. We felt that she really took the time to see what we were all about. Adria tries to get involved as much as possible, which brings with it a trust of her. With all the pre-wedding chaos, her calm demeanor and support was invaluable.
“Her speech was one of the highlights of our wedding day. It was perfect really. So much so we had it printed into our wedding album. We would highly recommend Adria without reservation. She’s smart, sophisticated, fun, and very insightful. If you’re looking for a first class justice of the peace… she’s the lady you want!\\\”
