Your ceremony is the centerpiece of your wedding day. Make it unique by allowing me to help you make it Your Special Day, Your Special Way!
Working together to make your day memorable, the ceremony will be designed for you, with you. You may write your own vows, or we can do repeat-after-me style. Some people prefer to only say the words “I do”. I am flexible and will accommodate your wishes.
First, we’ll meet in-person at my home. Or, if you are a distance away, we can chat by phone. Our time together will help us get to know each other. And this makes all the difference – because you’ll feel relaxed. My ability to tell your story and use humor puts everyone at ease.
I’ve performed marriages at estates like The Crane Estate, Willowdale, Moraine Farm, and Misselwood… to beach affairs such as Castle Island, Cranes Beach, Salisbury Beach and more.
During ceremonies I wear a robe with a stole, completing my professional presence.
I do all types of ceremonies. My skills and experience bring expertise and attention to detail to your life cycle events celebrations.
I’ve conducted vow renewals and commitment ceremonies throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. I do other life cycle events, too, including baby naming ceremonies, and funerals.
I became a justice of the peace after seeing my friend’s joy when she officiated at my brother’s wedding. I knew I needed to do this too – to find meaning and have a lasting influence on others’ lives. My first ceremony was a Renewal of Vows for a couple celebrating their 50th anniversary. What a thrill it was to be part of such a special and joyous occasion!

Alan is amazing! He was the officiant for our wedding on 6/8/19 and did a phenomenal job. Just a flawless performance – we knew exactly what we needed to do throughout the ceremony and Alan took care of everything else for us. I can’t recommend him enough!

Alan was wonderful! We first met with Alan at the home he shares with his wife and instantly knew he was the perfect person to marry us. At our first meeting, Alan was both welcoming and calming and took the time to explain the entire process to us. He first covered the basics, such as how to get a marriage license and what to do with it before the wedding, and then moved on to helping us personalize our ceremony. You can tell that Alan truly loves helping couples start their married lives together! He was so animated when he walked us through some of his favorite readings and unity ceremony options and was equally patient as he helped us created our own ceremony script. Alan made such an overwhelming piece of wedding planning so special and easy! We are so glad that he was willing to be part of our special day.
