As Justice of the Peace I work closely with each couple to customize and create a truly personal and memorable ceremony. I make sure each couple has the opportunity to provide any input they wish when creating their ceremony. I help each couple by stepping them through the process of obtaining their marriage license. I come the day before to orchestrate and run the rehearsal from start to finish laying out the Processional and Recessional following protocol so anyone involved with the ceremony will know exactly what will take place the next day at the wedding (i.e. Where are we walking in from, who’s escorting who, who’s standing next to who up front, how we are exiting, etc. Everything will be covered.) I follow up to make sure each couple receive their certified marriage certificate after their wedding.
I am also co-owner of the Moose Meadow Lodge & Treehouse www.moosemeadowlodge.net in Waterbury VT. I’m a former computer systems architect and trainer, an accomplished woodworker who created many of the furnishings and rustic decorations in the Lodge. My twig furniture and other works are made with wood from the property. For many years I’ve served as Cemetery Commissioner.
Since 2001, I have had the privilege of officiating hundreds of weddings, civil marriages and elopements at the Moose Meadow Lodge and throughout the state of Vermont. I would be honored to serve as your officiant.

We were extremely happy to have made Greg a part of our special day! We wanted to do an intimate ceremony—just the two of us with photographers and our officiant—on top of Mount Mansfield and reached out to Greg with some general specifications for our day. One of the biggest pluses for us was that Greg was extremely accommodating and flexible with our schedule and was very friendly to work with as we planned our day. Greg put thought and consideration into crafting our ceremony and welcomed input from the two of us along the way. We travelled to Vermont from Illinois and felt comfortable with the way Greg helped us plan (all the way down to explaining how to obtain a marriage license in VT and taking responsibility to file it for us), that we would be fully prepared when we landed in Vermont, having everything ready to go and no worries about our ceremony. Overall, we can look back on our day with total satisfaction and feel fortunate to have made such a great officiant a part of it all.
Once we had our first FaceTime with Greg, we knew he would be our officiant. He worked with us as much or as little as we needed. The best thing about Greg during the planning process— he is SO responsive. I don’t think I ever waited more than a few hours for a response. It was fantastic. He did a wonderful job orchestrating the rehearsal. And the actual ceremony was just SOOO good. We really customized our ceremony and made it about my husband and myself. Greg had the crowd laughing, crying and everything in between. This was also a destination wedding for us, none of the guests were from Vermont. Greg made sure to thank everyone for traveling and even went through where everyone was from. It was really nice to make sure our guests knew how much we appreciated them coming. After the ceremony, EVERYONE was asking me where I found this man! He was a hit :). You can’t go wrong working with Greg!
My husband and I can not say enough positive and wonderful things about having Greg as our Justice of the Peace. Greg is a wonderful genuine person and took the time to get to know my husband and I and helped us create a ceremony that was unique, special and told our love story perfectly. We got so many compliments from our guests on the amazing job that Greg did officiating our ceremony. I can not recommend him enough!
Greg was incredible. From the moment we met him he had a smile on his face and was gracious and charming. We had a great chat to get to know him and by the end we knew he was the right person to marry us. He spent the time to guide us through the process of creating the perfect ceremony. He encouraged us to write our own vows and to put together our own ceremony, which we did with his great guidance! And the ceremony itself was beyond perfect. It was beautiful and moving and he did a fantastic job.
