A long-time Cantorial Leader, Justice of the Peace and musician in the Boston area, I bring a spiritual and musical presence, personal warmth and years of experience standing before large and small gatherings.

I specialize in Jewish, interfaith, non-denominational and same-sex ceremonies and welcome the opportunity to create a ceremony that is reflective of who you are as a couple.

Whether you wish to create a ceremony that is traditional or informal, at town hall or in your backyard or mine, or at a large venue before all your family and friends,  I would be honored to officiate at your wedding ceremony.

I am also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator happy to work with you in strengthening your relationship.

Susan performed my daughter and new son in law’s wedding in a way that made us feel that she had known them their whole lives. She spent time prior to the wedding getting to know the couple and she expertly wove their comments about each other and their families throughout the ceremony. She was not just the officiant – she was a participant in the process and she so beautifully captured and conveyed the very essence of their love for one another and for their families.

Amy S, Brookline, Mother of the Bride

…Aside from her professionalism, Susan’s flexibility, warmth, and good humor are the icing on the cake. We cannot imagine a better partner in whom to place our trust for such a momentous event, and would recommend her unequivocally as your wedding officiant.

Jill and Ed, backyard wedding during Covid-19 pandemic

My now husband and I decided on a Saturday to get married on Monday, two days later. I knew Susan was perfect to officiate as soon as I listened to the lovely voicemail message she left for us. Susan accommodated our request on what was a very busy Monday for her. She was delightful! Very warm, articulate, and calming presence. We highly recommend Susan as a marriage officiant!

Janis A, Dover, last minute Bride

Susan facilitated and incredible ceremony for my partner, and our community. Her sensitivity to our needs, her responsiveness, her wisdom, and her angelic voice built a sacred space that I return to every time I look at my Ketubah. I felt supported and understood through every moment of our collaboration- Susan has a gift. I can’t imagine a better experience than the one Susan built for us.

Doria and Andres, Toronto

Susan officiated our interfaith, same-sex wedding ceremony in upstate New York and I could not have asked for a more positive experience. She is so kind, thoughtful and inclusive. Every Jewish tradition was explained with stories and history. She also did a great job connecting the traditions back to worship of spirit and god, which was really helpful for non-Jewish family to continue connecting with. So many people said that was the most beautiful ceremony they witnessed and half our guests were VIRTUAL! Thank you susan for all you did for us, it means the world to us!

David S.

Thank you so much for helping us create the wedding of our dreams! We received many glowing compliments on your ceremony. We were especially touched by how beautifully you wove in our story, the poem, and a hint of Judaism. It really was better than we could have hoped for! Thank you so much for helping to get us off to such a good start!
