Susan performed my daughter and new son in law’s wedding in a way that made us feel that she had known them their whole lives. She spent time prior to the wedding getting to know the couple and she expertly wove their comments about each other and their families throughout the ceremony. She was not just the officiant – she was a participant in the process and she so beautifully captured and conveyed the very essence of their love for one another and for their families.

My now husband and I decided on a Saturday to get married on Monday, two days later. I knew Susan was perfect to officiate as soon as I listened to the lovely voicemail message she left for us. Susan officiated our interfaith, same-sex wedding ceremony in upstate New York and I could not have asked for a more positive experience. She is so kind, thoughtful and inclusive. Every Jewish tradition was explained with stories and history. She also did a great job connecting the traditions back to worship of spirit and god, which was really helpful for non-Jewish family to continue connecting with.
