Elopement how-to

There are many ways to think about eloping. Indeed, it comes down to this. You want it done quick. And done right. No muss, no fuss.
Here is what you need to know.

Marriage License

Marriage licenses are issued by the city or town clerk. You’ll need ID and there is usually a small fee. Check out these state-specific details:

Select Your Officiant

All of the JPs and notaries listed on www.findaJP.com are professionals who abide by a code of ethics. Specifically, they are experienced and at-the-ready to answer your questions or work with you to craft personalized vows to reflect your love story. Our officiants can also provide suggestions on the hidden gem locations available in your community. Naturally, you can count on them! Don’t rely on a list with names and numbers. Check out their profiles and find the right fit for you.

The Setting

Where would you like to get married? The options are endless ~ especially for an elopement. Quickie informal ceremonies lend themselves to flexibility. A favorite spot or someplace that is meaningful to you and your partner. Be creative.

  1. Ann Marie Charest

Hello everyone! My name is Ann Marie Charest and I have been a member since 2008. I appreciate how professionally this website/group is presented and the majority of my wedding opportunities come from you. I have upgraded my account slowly each year, expanding the towns that I cover and added newer pictures, videos and testimonials. My only suggestion would be an opportunity for our couples to leave their thoughts/testimonials on their own after the wedding. Unless this is already offered and I don’t understand what to do, I would say that this website meets all of my needs. And thank you, Loretta for carrying on your Mother’s work. She was a lovely person and I always enjoyed talking with her.
