Why do you officiate?

When we talk about our why, we offer our motivation and purpose. Our why gives perspective. It builds connections.

Why do you enjoy performing marriages?

Tell us why you love being a justice of the peace or notary. Does it spark something special in you? Bring joy to your day? Counter a less-heartening day job? Each one of us has a different reason for this work we love. We want to hear about your special reason.

Share the Joy

  • Send us your reason why through our JPus Facebook Page or send us an email. Include a photo, too. We’ll then share the love on our findaJP Facebook and Instagram pages. Be sure to like our pages so we can tag you!
  • Check out additional details of our social media membership perk – because we’ll announce a new theme quarterly. We also have the low-down on how-to submit your story and photo on Facebook

Zoom Calls Scheduled

Two Zoom calls are scheduled to bring our members together. Namely, these gatherings will create more opportunities for members to network and learn from one another. With this in mind, being a part of the JPus community sets our group apart. Take advantage of this opportunity and join in the conversation with fellow marriage officiants.

MA Legislation Poll

Exciting news! Massachusetts Senator Anne Gobi is taking the lead and resubmitting the Resolve to Evaluate the One-Day Solemnizer Rule. This is a hard-fought-for piece of legislation based on the white paper that JPus submitted to Governor Baker. Senator Julian Cyr sponsored the bill during the 2019-2020 session, and Senator Gobi graciously agreed to take over the helm.

Answer the Poll – MA JPs only

Previously, Senator Gobi sponsored other legislation on behalf of the state’s JPs. She needs to see support from membership to know if she should continue these efforts. Support means, in addition to responding to this poll, also advocating to legislators asking them to cosponsor the bills and vote in favor.
Please answer this poll so we can let Senator Gobi know how to proceed.
